There are some high fence breeders in the Alba area, so he might be an escapee, or the offspring of one that got out. Makes sense for that area. I know of two monstrous non typical's on game camera right next to the city limits on a farm that nobody would guess where there next to Wood County. My buddy has been hoping for a shot on them the last two years. All they have is night time game camera pics of them.

There was a buck of that caliber that was hit by a car near Lindale a few years ago. Massive and super thick.

I've always felt that we have the nutrition for huge deer her in East Texas, but with so many people out hunting here, they never get very old.
