Put up my first game camera last monday, and switched cards on saturday. lots and lots of doe activity, but only a couple of bucks. the only buck that caught my eye was this guy. he looks like a 6 point, and he looks really tall, but pretty young. i want to know what yall think. no interest in score or anything, but i think this buck could be really good in a couple of years. If hes nothing special, hes nothing special. im just wondering if seeing my first pictures has me too hyped up. haha. looking for some perspective, since ive never had game cam pictures to look through.

Gotta knock down some of that grass next time i go out too. its catching alot of the flash on night pics.

Only other buck on camera. definitely young.

its funny, last year, i only saw a few deer while hunting, and nearly all of them were bucks. according to the pictures i got this week, i have alot more does and bucks. i think last year was just an odd year.

cheers Might move it a bit closer and raise your camera about a foot or so higher and angle it slightly towards the ground if you can.

ill have to get some sort of taller stand for it. right now its strapped between 2 plastic T posts. cant get it any taller than it is now. no good tree to mount it on. just little scruby bushes.

A little closer will make a huge difference. The second buck looks to have great tine length.

I will. I didn't realize how tall the grass was til I looked at pics. Didn't realize it would be so in the way.

I believe the first two pictures are of the same buck considering the time stamp is only 2 minuets apart.

Nice looking buck.

Yes it is. I put em both up since you could see his body better in the second picture.

Why do you think he's a 6? Have you confirmed he doesn't have brows? I zoomed in and can't tell with those pics, bet he's an 8 though.

They aren't hitting the feeder at 2a.m. which means they aren't traveling far to get to it. Good things to come I think...

No reason other than what's in the pictures.

And it's even better on the time, I didn't change it for daylight savings. So that was at 6:15
