I've never had a stuck choke tube. I always have to tighten mine up cause they get loose.... Like half way through every hunt. Am I missing something? Ditto.. Let me guess you also clean your gun more often than once every 5 years? Amazing how many problems that solves. Yeah. I clean it at the end of every season and then lock it up! Gotta clean it tomorrow though cause I dropped it in the water last sunday though! lol

If it is still shooting at the end of season, it doesn't get cleaned. I still have no choke issues. I have had people bring them to me. It is a very simple process. A coffee mug warmer, a can of Break and a empty baby food jar. Fill jar with break, put it on the warmer, turn warmer on and put in on the floor in the corner. Put shotgun barrel into jar and go to bed. The next day go get shotgun and take the choke out as usual. Put the lid on the jar and save the fluid for the next time.

I used to duck hunt in earth tone plaid flannel shirts, green rubber hip waders, army surplus jacket or walmart clearance old school camo hoody, American cowboy hat in brown, Gibsons Flambeau decoys that I still use today, and at times just some duck size chunks of wood and 2 liter coke bottle bank trash for decoys. No internet so our only guide was our elder mentors and a basic Chuck Adams book or two. Killing ducks was as easy then as it is now. We did have lead shot and I was using one of the then new Smith and Wesson Semi Autos with interchangeable chokes so I did have that advantage. Good times. I miss the good simple times. Times have sure changed, but then they always do and always will.
