What the hell! Thousands of respectable people in this state hunt and the only thing they can do on the Monday morning after opening weekend is talk about "thrill killers" and poachers around Trophy Club. Talked about rifle season opening and that was all they could say? Sick of the stereotype they try to saddle us all with! Is there ANY respectable media anywhere anymore?

Liberal media at its finest. The bleeding hearts are all over the US, unfortunately

Watched the story. Didn't see anything that miscategorized legal hunters.

Going to say you're pretty off base on this one. I interpreted it as a warning to poachers that TPWD is on the case and looking for poachers. Kinda a PR piece for Operation Game Thief.

Sidebar, Deborah Ferguson's (the anchor at the desk on the right) husband almost joined our deer lease this year.

I remember the first few years he was in the D/FW market Troy Dungan would do an Outdoors forecast on Thursday night to let hunters and fishers know what was going to be happening for the weekend in the area.

I didn't see/hear anything stereotypical. Seemed like a reasonable piece to me...

I've talked to a couple of the Tarrant county GW's and they said one of the hottest areas they work is around Grapevine lake. There are some really big deer out there, so it's tempting for folks to try and find ways to take them out.
