yesterday good for the girls to come up with me to Oklahoma land.

Picked up my new protein feeder.

Some Okie BBQ.

Placed the new protein feeder and did some trimming to get ready for my mom's rifle hunt.

Girls put together 2 chairs for the trailer blind.

Mia climbed a 20' treestand.

Mia got some good bow practice in.

Girls probably had more fun picking up Pecans. smile

We ended up with a hunt, no hogs or deer came in. Still had fun bird watching and the last light Coyote sound off.

Heck, an hour?, some fellas drive that just to get out of town! I like Oklahoma, my mom had 60 acres up there for about 5 years, had to sell because the locals gave her o much trouble. My brother has 250ish acres outside Ft Toweson, it is a nice place, great hardwood country.

I was on a lease several years western Love County and that's the wild west! trespassers, poachers, bullet holes in stuff, and theft. authorities don't even want to go there! this area nice the WMA has 14k acres and I know all the neighbors already.

Oh yeah, you guys are set up great, you have access to the WMA I would guess? if so, that is like having a huge property without the headache (other than some folks that use it as well)

it is actually a WMA of private land owners run by the Noble Foundation, they have the biggest ranch. A bunch of 200-800 acre ranches around it. They have their own check station and log all bucks and does, keep a monitor and they even do a spotlight survey. through the Association they also give back a bunch youth and wounded warrior hunts.

not yet. no water on property, but some great potential. hadn't been grazed in 20+ years, the ponds were all broken down. there are great drainages running through the property though. there is a 5 acre wetlands in some Pecan trees, but like the ponds, the levy and outlet broken down so only holds water about a week after rains. plan on several ponds and fixing the wetlands.
