That's just a little east of Quail, TX. Glad the quail came back in your area

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Hunted NW of Quail yesterday. Saw 6 coveys on just over a hundred acres and didn't hunt near all of it. Cover is really thick, most deciduous trees and shin oak still has leaves, ragweed still green. Really need a hard freeze. Native and CRP grass is really tall. Lots of grass burrs so bring dog boots. I guess that's what 45 inches of rain does. It's really good to be able to get these dogs into the kind of birds they were bred for.

Yep theirs a lot of birds and we sure need a freeze no doubt. As far as being able to put the dogs in wild birds again, I couldn't agree with you more.
