Everything lined up to be a good shoot. Got everything loaded and headed out. It was to be my wife's first overnight on the water. Ducktoon was going to pay off. 3 hours later we are the only boat at the ramp. I back it in, park and we are about to go. Not happening!!!!

The control box failed. Something inbfhere is broken. I started the boat at the hous3 before we left the house.

All we could do was load it and head for home. That blows!

Yessir. Me too. After kicking a can for a little while I choose to look at it this way. I was very apprehensive about the trip all day. Enough so I even told my wife. Maybe this was the great spirit's way of saving us from a bad disaster. Take it as it comes and move on I reckon.

Murphy. Get it fixed. Button it down real good. Spit in Murphy's eye and take a do-over.

Enjoy the Ducktoon. You worked your butt off on that thing.

That sucks.
Thats why i try to avoid too many toyz. The more toyz, the more worries and stuff breaking all the time.
Especially after everything is made in china by kids.

That's sucks , but on the bright side better to be broken down at the ramp then on the water.

That is exactly what is about to happen. I like your attitude about getting back at it. Can't fix a problem by crying about it up

100 % spot on. We made the best of a bad situation. The whole time I thought thamk God we weren't miles from the ramp when that happened.

Would have been awful, possibly dangerous and made a million times worse if yours is anything like my wife.

I am very fortunate. My wife is awesome. She loves boats, hunting, traveling, arrowhead hunting. When things go wrong she just shrugs it off.

Sorry about the long round trip! You're probably right about not meant to be out there. Gut feeling is usually right! I'm sure you'll be right back on that pony in a heartbeat.

I'm debating on this: if you were at home and it wouldn't start, I'd say it was something complex, a nice puzzle for you. Since you invested the round trip I'm guessing it'll be something stupid simple, but in the long run you'll overbuild around it!

No puzzle any longer! It is already at the shop going with brand new controls. Life it too short to be missing hints when the conditions were what we had the other night.

That's my thoughts as well. Also now that I am aware of the trouble, I am fixing it. No band-aid, no used, not the cheap route, just get it done. It was in the shop first thing this morning. Brand new controls will be on by the end of the week.
