Sitting in one of my favorite spots in southeast Palo Pinto County in the rain the sun is barely up and some moron has already caused problems with my hunt. I've been here since before 6 as usual and at 6:40 I look to my left and see someone walking toward my stand I know it was one of my city boy cousins or his friend but I couldn't tell he was wearing some weird kind of head gear that made him look like a Jihadist of some kind. I cleared my throat and he turned and walked off. The way I see it if he can't get out before daylight then why bother going he had to have walked right by my truck and this is the only stand on this side of the property. Unfortunately this isn't the first offense for either of them they have both shot deer that were off limits (does and baby bucks), they have left the doors and windows on the stands open on several occasions, and if one of us isn't out here with them we get pics of them at every feeder so they walk from feeder to feeder when they hunt. We have told them the rules over and over but the pot heads just can't follow simple instructions, you would think they would be more than willing to take advice from far superior hunters but no and unfortunately they are family so we can't just give them the boot without causing major problems.

You cant stop stupidity or inexperience, I know it has to suck. Your only option is to find another place to hunt.

why didn't you just let them get close and quietly tell them to leave..

Santo is 4 hours away for me. I can do that drive so let me know if there are any openings next year. I can enjoy hunting and be respectful of others at the same time.

Family or not, they wouldn't want to do that again. That is BS ruining someone elses hunt because your lazy, I'd had to say something and how.

They sure ain't giving you special treatment. Don't give them any either. I would read the riot act and ask them to leave.

I remember years ago I took a buddy with me to Comanche. I told him to stay in his stand, instead he jumps the fence (fence was poor) heads to my cousins area and takes a leak by his feeder. My cousin came unglued on his arse...I got my arse chewed out bigtime. Never took that fellow hunting, ever again.

Family or not they would get their arse kicked. I deal with dumb arses like that every day on the construction site, adult day care.

Friend would not be able to come back, and family member would be informed that like our not. And told if it happens again he would be gone too. Make sure all others on the property are in agreement with you.
