Who else is getting rained on this morning. Hard to go sit in a tripod stand in this stuff. Looks like we could get a break in an hour or so.

I got in my box blind at 5:50 this morning and had deer moving when I could barely see. Had a big cell of rain with thunder and lightening moving in from the SW, so I got out at 6:50 and headed in. Started to rain at 7 and still raining a bit now. I had 2 bucks moving in when I left and had seen a total of 6 bucks and 3 does till I left.

I was in a tripod at the time you posted this. Frogg Toggs worked perfectly. Saw lots of deer all morning, even while it rained.

Howdy neighbor. I drove through a downpour from the house in western Hamilton county to Mills county (Caradan) this morning. The rain was light enough from 5:40 til 6am to walk to the stand. Even in the rain I was seeing deer at 6:40 and all morning. I took down an 11 point at 8am. Had to drag him to dry enough ground to get the truck in. Will post photos tomorrow.

It's a little breezy now but otherwise enjoyable. Good luck!

Deer were moving this afternoon around Goldthwaite. Saw 15 altogether, only 2 young 8 pointers though.
