I recently returned from north central South Dakota. It was very warm and dry. I think they are just now starting to cool off. Our duck hunting was way down compared to last year but pheasant numbers were good. Though we shot plenty of roosters, there were easily twice as many hens that we let fly.

Here is a picture of one that got away and one that did not!

It is a BLAST.

I really missed the pheasant hunting when we moved back to Texas from North Dakota. Same with the ducks and geese. Probably good that you are home now, on the radar last night it showed snow across most of North Dakota and looking to be moving into South Dakota.

Only have done it in the panhandle (TX) and it was a total blast, would do it again in a heartbeat. Good looking pup you have too.

That's a fun trip I bet. I pheasant hunted eastern Montana and the birds up there are not the little skinny Texas birds we got. These birds hit with a thud when you knock em down.
