Easy on the mayo, or you'll blow a primer pocket.

Yea I checked Hodgdon site but they don't show a 25-06 in 115 gr. Closest is 117 gr and that's why I looking for a Burger book. I always try to check at least 2 sources for powder charges.

Use the max charge on the 117 gr and the max charge on the next lightest bullet as a guideline. Because that's all they are, guidelines. Work up to max charge slowly, looking for pressure signs with each shot.

Berger will give you a much, much lower max charge anyway. They are so conservative that many of us start at their max charge and work UP from there.

25-06 H4831sc= start load of 49g - max54.3g

6.5x284 H4831sc= start load 48.5g - max 51.8g

Those numbers are straight from the berger manual. smile

Well I guess Berger isn't the conservative one after all. Hodgdon shows max 2.3 grains lower on the 6.5X284 and 3.5 grains lower on the minimum. Always good to get at least 2 sources to start working from. I know its only a guide and each combination may not max out at the book value.

I still do some lurking. Sometimes I just can't help myself.
