I'm wondering if anyone has used this material and how it compares to ivory linen micarta?

Composite ivory is pretty brittle, I prefer micarta, you can get ivory in paper micarta.

Thanks Kev I suspected as much, as I understand it, micarta has to be carefully polished to prevent accidentally transferring unwanted color to it. The composite is easier to polish but subject to breakage because it's brittle. I would think for a field knife, micarta, is the way to go.

Kevin nailed it; I feel the say way about Kirnite, I make them because some of my customers have asked for it. It is by far the easiest material finish along with antlers.
Just depends of the customer. There are some people that will destroy and anvil, and we know there are some that can keep a knife forever and use it for it's intended use.
