Headed down that way in a month. I'm hearing good things.... Horns looking better this year than the last few with all the rain?
Pig population above average?
Bucks start chasing the first few weeks in November?

Depending on which direction from Freer, some areas had a lot of timely rains. While others had good rains in the spring to early summer then it stopped. From the guys I have talked to down there is it going to be a really good year. Rut will not start until mid to late December down in that area. Hogs are everywhere nowdays, so right place you will have plenty. Wrong place you will still have enough
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Rains were good in the area for antler growth, but have shut down pretty hard as of late.
More hogs than you know what to do with
Early November the bucks may still be bunched up, like Stx said late December will be rut time. Last year it didn't kick off for us real good till the first week of January.

I'm hearing the quail look good due to the rain. Positive.
Looks like the javelina's are back strong, like the swine.

Our quail are out of this world this year, will be giving them heck later in the season. Supposed to be raining down there right now.

S/B really good season. We're about 30 miles SW of Freer and have had good rains throughout the year. I was down there two weeks ago and we had a nice rain both Friday and Saturday. Raining at the ranch as I type this. We don't run cattle so the grass is HIGH! and the canopy is super thick. Plenty of food for the deer and the few I have seen look great! We're not even flying our census until mid-November due to how lush everything is. Ditto on quail numbers.

I hunt around Cotulla and everything is showing to be a really good year. Quail should do well especially after we put a dent in the bobcat population.

Any fresh reports? Looks like the rain is gone for a few days. Game moving? Deer moving very late due to the heat?
Weekend weather looks like a little rain on Friday, paradise on Saturday.
How are the pigs moving? Bucks starting to wander off by themselves?

Be down that way 11/6-11/16. Our deer look great. On camera. Not seeing much on the hoof. Neighbors reporting the same. Still too much understory and canopy. Pigs are plentiful. As are rattlesnakes, this year. Snake boots r a great investment.

Shouldn't be the case, I've hunted South Texas in years past, upper 80 degrees in Dec. and seen big deer. They are used to the weather, we maybe not as much. That said, I've seen more deer with temps in the 40s-50s this time of year. Don't let the weather dictate your perception as to what and how many you may see.
