I've had this buck on the property for the past 2 seasons. I'm estimating he is 3 1/2 - 4 1/2. I don't think he'll ever grow brow tines?

Good point length, decent spread, looks to be about 41/2 yr old. Shoot him.

I like to name the bucks I get on trail cams. That one would be called Dinner.

Different regions, different classifications. That deer on our place would be a cull. Any deer 4.5 or older with 9 points or less and/or less than 140" gross is a cull to me.

I would have killed him as a spike to save the debate on what to do later stir

Having only one tag to use and knowing there is a 10 pt 4-5 Yr old roaming around, well it just makes me cry.... for joy at least.

So that presents a new question for this group. The bird in the hand theory. If you know this 6 pt cull deer is roaming, in itself a nice trophy for the wall, but you also have seen an even bigger and older, 10 pt that has not shown up consistently but know it's around, what would you do?

In others vocabulary in the same region or anywere it would fall under a management buck.. 4.5yr old + 9 or less up to 140 or post mature deer no matter the points under 140, cull 4.5 under inferior 7point and under...

I even know of plenty of places that cull 1-2yr old deer that are 7 point mainframe and under...

everyone has different ways of putting it.... I understand what your saying for sure..

question is did he ever have brows but now I see that he didn't lol

I just see a nice 4yr old

cheers

"Culling" him at this point is a mute point. He is old enough to have been breeding for several years and "culling" only him won't change your genetics. 2cents
