Well after thinking we wouldn't hunt many ducks the first split our tanks all filled up in less than 24 hours. Gotta love Texas! That being the case we scrambled to get our first real blind built. We may get some plywood later to close it in but since it had to be done in a day and brushed in we just used the scraps we had in camp and scored a bench from some demo of a boat dock. Open to suggestions on brushing it in - first time to attempt that! Now we just need the water to settle and the ducks to show up!

Still probably going to be a rough first half unless we get some cold weather in the Dakotas and on down, but you'll kill em if they get here!

Yeah I'm trying to decide if I want to hunt it this weekend for North Zone opener or just stick to deer for a few more weeks and hope a few ducks start showing up.
