Does anyone know for sure if deer with uneven racks (i.e. 7pts,9pts etc.)can change "strong sides" from year to year. More specifically we have a BIG 9 point that has five tines on the right side and four on the left side. It is an older deer long tined deer with a 21+ inch inside spread and unique rack for the area. We have pictures of a big 9 point deer three years before that looks EXACTLY like it but obviously younger, it probably had a 19+ inside spread at the time. When we saw the pictures we thought for sure it was the same deer until we noticed that it's strong side was on the left not on the right like the one we just got pictures of. Brow tines and configuration is exactly the same otherwise. Can this be the same deer?

Yes. Definitely could be and they change back and forth. I've got a big deer that was a non-typical 6X5 last year with a buncha extras and double drops. This year he's a straight up 6x6 typical with one drop.

Yes I've seen deer switch sides one season and then back the next.
