Hired hand found the carcass on October 12, looks like maybe a lease hunter next door arrowed him and didn't find him. He was about 300 yards into our place and about 450 from their blind. I'm thinking 4.5 but if you are good at jawbones feel free to chime in. I'll post the real score a bit later.

It does hurt, this is two years in a row we've lost one like that. Last year was a large eight about the same score; I saw him in bow season and he was fine, three weeks and 30 lbs later he was a bony, staggering zombie slinging snot everywhere.

I saw a bachelor group including this one in June-he'd be one I would pass on this season unless I didn't see others and really thought he was 5.5. The rough gross score I did has him right around 129. 15 1/4" inside, 4 3/4" bases. Good mass, but short tines kept him from scoring more. With the right conditions he might have really boomed next year.

teeth are not very worn - 4 at best

125 to 128 on score and 4yo.

3.5 or 4.5. Slight slope on tooth 6 makes me lean towards 4.5, but alot of it depends on how deer in your area wear.
