Been out at my other lease mostly this year but I hunted taylor the other day and saw bucks chasing pretty hard. I saw pics of a 170 plus shot out there this morning supposedly. I don't know who shot it but It's a nice deer. tho.

We have been hunting since youth weekend and today was definitely the best so far as far as deer movement.

Didn't see much this afternoon. Let a 3-4 yr old 6 pt walk. Would be a nice 8 if he had brow tines. Probably should have shot him, but will try to get my wife or daughter on him. I've never seen him on camera, so he's cruising for a hot doe. Wife had 7 doe with a couple fawns, but no bucks.

We had a unfortunate evening with my nephew not making a good shot on his first deer this evening but we will be back out there early in the morning to get after it again and then look for his buck one more time before we give up on it. I don't like our chances much in finding it though but you never know. I am hoping the rain lets up before then so we can still look for a blood trail.

Seeing tons of deer in wheat fields, but no serious chasing.

Keep me updated. I miss not being able to hunt Mulberry Canyon this year. I enjoy reading the posts on here. Pics would be an added bonus as well.

Seeing lots of deer in the wheat just at dark. My son is all done for the year with his 2 deer so now I can get back on em. I have seen no signs of the rut, the buck he shot was not in rut and I have doe in the field all the time with nothing after them. Maybe the cold will set em off! Good luck guys...

This wind is terrible but the deer are moving. Have seen two different bucks with their heads to the ground roaming this morning.

Wind let up this evening and the deer were moving like crazy. We saw over 20. The morning should be great too.

I saw a decent buck on hand thrown corn, around 4:45 yesterday, but that was it. Back in the same blind again this morning. 22 degrees and no wind

Didn't hunt yesterday afternoon. Gonna give them a few days and try again Wednesday afternoon. Father n law said he watched a young doe that looked to be coming in heat. Several young bucks attempted to breed her (mounted) but she wasn't ready yet and would haul azz. Anybody else seeing rut activity? Supposed to warm up a few days and then rain and colder weather starting Thanksgiving.

Saw 2-3 year old 8 w a wide rack chasing a doe about 9 am through wheat this morning. Not a hard chase yet but the most daylight activity we've had all year.

Father n law shot an old 9 point this morning in the food plot. Neck was swoll and hocks were ripe. Back in the blind this afternoon and see what happens.

Hunted Friday & Saturday in SW Taylor...ice storm kept the movement to a slow crawl. Had a mgmt buck and a doe taken from others on the lease and I took another sow. Wet and cold was the story. My tower blind overlooks a creek bottom and the ice had all the tree limps breaking so the noise probably didn't help my cause.

My buddies sent me a picture from my old blind, that sits over a dry creekbed. You could have floated a canoe down down it that day. They said nothing was moving over the weekend,

I'm gonna try a new spot that doesn't have any blinds or feeders this afternoon. May bang some horns together and see what happens. Hopefully the sun coming out this afternoon will get them moving again. Had pretty good deer movement before the ice/rain storms.
