Hi guys, I'm kinda new here, done some reading, but very little posting. I was wondering if anyone had any pet loads to share for the .280 Rem. Reloder 19 and IMR 4831 is what I have to work with and 140 to 160 bullets would be my preference. Especially interested in loads including Barnes 140 gr. TTTX bullets or Nosler Ballistic Tip in 150 gr. Thanks for your time.

Got a pet load, but not with your choice of components. Nosler 150-grain Partition, 58.5 grains H4831.

Thanks, don't have any H4831, but when I exhaust my supply, I may try it.

The 145 gr Speer and IMR4831 has been a steady performer for my 280 for decades.

Thanks, I have a couple of loads with 139 gr. Hornady showing promise but would like to use a little heavier bullet. Something in the 150 to 165 gr. range. Possibly a bonded bullet as well. Still doing testing between rains.

My 280 shot most loads good and I finally settled with the 168gr Berger Classic Hunting. My main goal was an elk load and it has performed well so far. I tried H4831/N560/Reloder 26 and all shot fine. N560 gave highest velocity over 2900fps. I settled on Reloder 26 for its supposed temperature tolerance and the fact according to Alliant the more I shoot it the cleaner my barrel gets. wink

Well, I was about to have to spring for a new jug of bore solvent. Since you won't be needing yours anymore, give me a good deal and I'll take it off your hands. I'll even hang on to my dirty patches and send them to you so you can maintain a desirable level of fouling...we all know a bore that's too clean just won't shoot well.

Mostly deer and hogs, but I tend to like a bullet that doesn't shred a lot of meat in case a shoulder is hit. That's on deer sized animals, just to be clear. Hogs, I don't eat.

Ive got my 280 to shoot well with RL19 with Berger 168VLD it never did like the lighter bullets much. The Berger doesn't tare much meat but is devastating on the insides, unless you hit shoulder.

My 280 loves Nosler 140 Accubonds pushed hot with IMR 4350. Getting 3050fps from this load
