You don't need a lighter. A well placed flare can allow you to be 20 minutes away before the real blaze starts. Not that I know anything about the proceedure.

If you can next time you see him on dry land whip his [censored] and explain to him the errors of his judgement.I don't think anyone would blame you. I'm from an oilfield town in West Texas and that's how I would deal with the problem. If you can't whip him pour some sugar in the tank of that nice airboat of his. I've had a similar problem over a brushpile while crappie fishing in East Texas. Nothing as bad as you described but I was in a Jon boat on public water and a man in a bass boat trimmed his motor up and put some water on me after a few words. I fired up and met him at the ramp and showed him the error of his ways. I just don't like folks being disrespectful. There's no reason for that type of behavior.

They are banned from The Barney......hunters complaining about the noise got them gone for good......the other agitator that really yanks my chain is the guys with the high performance mud motors, To me they are just as loud as the air boats. I don't thing they need to be banned but they do need to not exceed a certain DB level.
I used to be involved in cart racing when my son was younger. We had to meet certain DB levels at some tracks. I ran an RLV Silencer on his cart which basically brought the noise level back to around stock muffler levels. They make these to fit all of the V-Twin header tube sizes as well and it has zero effect on horse power..........

If you know who he is, why don't you call and confront him about it! Maybe talk it out etc, no need in getting violent or messing someone's stuff up, maybe he was helping a guide , or something you never know

In my experience, if a GW wrote a ticket I would look up to make sure a meteor wasn't about to hit us. I feel bad for them almost. There aren't enough of them, too much land to cover on no budget. I know all 3 in my county pretty well and unless you have something that would make the paper and news, they don't seem to care.

I know two of our three pretty well. Haven't met the new guy yet. These guys are top notch.

I really like mine too, really good guys. I've been told on multiple occasions that they are on other calls, or have another situation to deal with. And some of the things we've reported would be pretty rough to beat! A la 4 wheeler to the blind on corps land shooting 10 minutes early with a high power rifle in the blind "in case he saw a deer".
