Pretty sure I'm going to turn my daughter loose on this guy if he shows up this weekend. Love his width but that's about it. Need to lay eyes on him in person to confirm. Looks like he broke off 3-4" on his right side on either the 18th or 19th. Hoping he's not fighting with the 11 pt I have hitting the same feeder. I'd really hate to see him get busted up.

He looks like a 3yr old but except for his face. Would be a tough call

If you're not sure, shoot a couple does instead.

He certainly fits the definition on management buck on our place but I want to make sure I don't take out a young buck that could turn into something. Can't say for certain but I believe this guy was a 6 or 7 last year as well. With all the rain we had this spring and protein feeders on the ranch he should at least be an 8 by now.

looks like a 3.5 year old but you know your deer better than any of us do. if he is young, he could be really wide in another couple, probably won't ever score really high but he may look pretty good with that kind of spread. good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I say 4 on the age, and he is definitely a cull in my book. I would not hesitate.

Had a deer just like this on one of my ranches and we where able to keep a good eye on him and we let him walk one more year and the following year he was much better in antler growth. Ended up a 122 8 pt the next year. Hunter was really happy that took him.Your deer may not be so luck but probably going to be a cull anyway. IMO

Beautiful deer! Be sure to keep us posted.

Separate note, how do you all estimate age? I would rather ask yall than google it, so thanks in advance.

I would call him a lucky 3 yr old that made 2 yrs to long since he was a spike as a yearling. grin
