I downloaded the shooter app and wanted to see if anyone else uses the app and has it been pretty close to the correct dope?

Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Don't have an app, but I just keep a browser tab open on my phone to JBM Ballistics. Does a fine job.

Shooter is the one I use on IPhone. It calls for 10.0 mil at 1000 and I wound up at 10.1. It was exact at 300 and 600.
I have not used the windage on it since I am not smart enough to read wind. But I'm quick to correct for it. That is the true forte of the mil/mil scope to me.

Shooter did not work right for me. Ballistics FTE is a good one. Or, if you have connection, I use this link below for 99% of my drop charts. It's basically JBM.

Your wind value is still a measured wind value no matter what units you use. For example...you miss XXmoa left of target and make correction as you would miss XXMIL left of target and make correction....Ya dig??

I was relating spotting misses with a matched reticle and turret. It's a one time fix. No calculation or overthinking. I guess at my windage but usually am only close to actual wind speed. I understand the mathematics of it fine with MIL or MOA. it the wind speed I usually get wrong. The MIL/MIL makes the spot and dial easy for me.

Shooter works very well, and I have been using it all day on the range with a THF member. A .260 that had never been past 200 yards went 800 with no issue, using Shooter as a guide. $9.95 is a heck of a deal. I really like the extensive bullet library it has and I use that feature very often. As far as giving corrections based on environmental conditions it does need a cell signal, and so will every other app. The only way around that is a Kestrel with Horus or Applied Ballistics and that is way more money than $9.95
wp,
The roads lead from Wills Point to Wolfe City. Come out and shoot, and maybe I can help a bit.

Strelok Pro is a decent app as well. I've used it in the past with success. IMHO a kestrel with AB or horus is one of the best options. Remember cell phones can have problems with sun/heat exposure as well.
