Go scout like everybody else.

Wish that I could help you out. I've only hunted there one time and that was years ago. I had people horseback riding through the area that I was hunting.

Just drive up and down the roads right before sundown and find out where they are coming out to the roads. Most likely they will be there every afternoon or coming in right before dark. Set up 150 yards off the road and you are golden

Now you know where they are going to be the next day and now you can go hunt.

That is how I plan to start my scouting session.

It isnt always that easy though! LOL

Believe me nobody is going to give you GPS coordinates!

As pappy once said: proof tis in the pudding, pudding one foot in front of the other ... From OP ya were hunting a good spot... One day one area might be hotspot next dry up... Could be food, time of year, weather, hunting pressure.. i cary pocket note book, keep tabs, date, time, rubs, scrapes, sightings, & such... Bought GPS ta put down cordanances... When ya hunt several WMA's, touch ta remember exact location....
Help a fellow hunter out ... cheers Nothen wrong with that... First hogs took on WMA had two good size hogs down at last light, roughly 11/2+ miles back in woods... Drag one go back drag the other... Went back ta house get back pack, & called friend that we said we would help each other if got something down.. We met at parking area.. Took three of us bout 4hours... Back packed biggest & drag, carry smaller one...
Have done same for others, including finding downed deer...
Public hunts are tough... On lease every one pretty much knows every one... Yet, like in Open Discussion forum ya see the same thing... rofl tis, huntsolo , on the ignorance list by most on here.. Can't blame-em...
Each pretty much hunt solo when hit woods... When ya have friend, ya can share, the experience... & if some thing happens, tis nice ta know their is help.. i enjoy the tree stands, find good sign & observe... Best wishes... flag

cheers Sounds like a do it your self hunt... As pappy once said: pudding one foot in front of the other ... A person could give ya some tips, nothing wrong with back ... A person still has ta do their part... Lot of things change from one day ta another... OP flood changed... i got bad habbit of before getting out of bowstand, would look around, put a field tip, aim at leaf & target shoot.. Got busted, shoulder messed up & to much movement, doe was sitting edge of thick brush.. Could be food source depleated... Good luck with bet... Keep us posted... flag
