My 13yr old son recently had a birthday and is wanting to spend his money on a rifle that he can call his own. He is set on buying a 25-06 or 7mm-08 after doing some research. If any of you should have either of these rifles you would be willing to sell, please shoot me a PM so I can share with him.

I've seen some good deal recently at Academy on the 7mm-08. You might start there, Bass Pro and Cabelas....I think they all have deals going right now.

Check out the 7-mm08 I'm selling it could surly be a lesson for buy once cry once and would truly be a rifle for life..... Although I guessing you'd need to kick in a bit

I have a browning xbolt in 7mm08 only fired 10 times . Comes with a leupold vxr 3-9x50 with the firedot reticle. And will throw in 2 boxes of shells. $1200 obo or I can do just the gun for $750.

If I were you, I'd get him the Ruger American in .243. Good all around caliber for about anything and a lot less recoil than the 7mm-08 which equates to being a lot more comfortable to shoot well at that age. You can even find a package deal including a Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 scope for right around $500. These are really really good rifles with many features found on rifles easily 3-4x as expensive.
