Finally got my first archery kill today. And it felt great. Double lung shot at about 18-20 yards and she ran about 60-70 yards before going down. Didn't have to track her at all. I was a little bummed right before they showed up as I had small buck, a few does and two little ones that showed up to a spot where I keep hand tossing corn. I didn't get to draw back because the mommas kept checking me out. I'm not sure if they could see me or smell me because the wind did change on me. But this group left after about 5 minutes. 20 minutes later 3 more show up and the rest is history.

I've had my bow since last and I'm glad to get my first kill with it. I was using a Hoyt Charger, Easton Bowfire arrows with a NAP Killzone broadhead.

Congratulations! I finally got my first bow kill this season as well. Its an amazing rush to be right up on the deer hearing them communicate.

I've heard them communicating. But it was a little different. They were blowing at me. roflmao

But now I can focus on this buck that's been hanging around.
