Built mine a couple of years ago. Been out in the elements and still in good shape. nice design, and comfortable.

When I built mine, I got everything at Lowes except the screws, which I got at Ace hardware. Total was a bit under $85. IIRC

That was for a two man.

I like it. Looks like you could box in the bottom and make an enclosed blind down there for those really bad weather days.

You certainly can Fat Tire. Or you can go even simpler than that. I have one on which I used a small camo tarp from Harbor Freight (http://www.harborfreight.com/7-ft-11-inch-x-5-ft-6-inch-camouflage-tarp-46410.html).

I tied one side of the tarp to the ladder side about six feet above ground level and the other side to the back support frame about four feet above ground level. Then I hung some burlap from the inside of the ladder side about 3' above ground level for a screen to hide behind and put a chair under there. It's great for a rainy day.

Another alternative is to secure a short section of 2" PVC to the back side of the seat's back rest to serve as a holder for a large camo umbrella. http://www.amazon.com/RainStoppers-Auto-...s=camo+umbrella
