My very first doe only made a step before she dropped and bled out right in front of me. I thought that bow hunting was no big deal and didn't get what all of the fuss was about, that has never happened again.

Very true simple searcher..just like yourself I thought it would get easier...NOT! That was my last bow kill. On a very long hiatus from bringing home meat with archery tackle.

Shot a javi this year that died were he was standing.. no spine shot either right in the pump house.. he did a flip and died.. shot a 250lb pig that took 3 steps and died high shoulder at a hard down angle into the sternum , 2 doe that went 20yrds (heart) and a buck that went 30yrds entry was behind last rib and tip stopped at the front point of the opposite shoulder .. I did kill a doe that dropped but it was a spine shot and never to proud of those.. I put two more in here real quick though.. looked like a pin cushion

Shot this doe Tuesday morning and she made it less than 20 yards. This is why. Once had a buck that was at the base of my tree turn 2 circles under my tree and then fell over.
If you ain't hunting, you ain't living right.
