I went on this hunt about two weeks ago and posted a quick photo but never got around to posting the rest. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to hunt with mulie mike and one of his awesome guides Chris L. The first night after meeting Chris we were able to locate a great ram moving across the mountain top and figured he would be close to the same area in the morning. So we started our climb at first light stopping to glass every rock, cave and draw they could ne hiding. Finally after crawling up out of the last draw i spotted movement on the highest peak. Chris moved us up the peak next to the one he was bedded on and got me close enough to crawl into position and range the ram. I fired shot and felt really good about the hit as i watched him disappear over the back side. He made it about 30 yards before going down. It all went pretty quick so when i was finally able to get my hands on him i was able to finally admire him. I love how wide he is but my favorite thing is while cleaning him i found two previous bullet holes in him. One is his neck and the other in his leg. The one in his leg broke the bone and caused it to lock up in the up position where he could not use it. His hoof was really long and showed it had not be used in a long time. After seeing this i decided to change my mount and do a 3 quarter mount. It will cost me more but i figure after being shot twice and still being able to collect him a group of females at the highest peak of the mountain he deserves to be shown as the warrior he was. I could not be any more happy and if you have never hunting them animals free range in the mountains i highly recommend it.

Diane, I will be posting pictures of him once he is finished for sure. I wish it was my own work but I have a guy that does all my work. I wish i did all my own taxi work it would save me a lot of money, but thats one art i have never had the opportunity to learn myself. Hopefully here in the next week or so ill have him another trophy blackbuck to start on.

Casey.... That Blackbuck is going to look great next to that monster! How did the Aoudad score? He's got huge bases... Hope you are submitting them for your Cazador Slam? I'm sure your taxi guy is a happy camper...:)).
