Went to the local feedstore today to get a few things and while I was waiting I looked over the shelves. They had a big supply of various calibers - 270, 308, 300 Savage, 257 Roberts, 30-06, 243, 220 Swift (really), and a few more. No 260 or Creedmore rounds.

Just about all calibers can be found now including 22's. About the only stuff that cant be found are seasonal run/odd ball calibers like 6mm, 350 Rem Mag, WSSM's, SAUM's, etc. I guess retail prices on 22's finally reached a point that people quit stock piling and quit trying to flip it.

I still see empty shelves of 22LR at Bass Pro sometimes, but not often, and only behind the counter at Academy still. Most everything else is no problem.

I was at Cabelas in Allen yesterday and they had hundreds of Winchester 555 packs for around $35.

Saw numerous 50 round boxes of CCI 22LR Stingers are a local Walmart this evening. The clerk said they've been on the shelf for a couple days. Still a three box minimum to curtail the low-life scalpers.

Lots of .22lr in stores these days.

Some of my grandkids plus nieces/nephews were visiting from out of state, so I ran down to Walmart and picked up three 1,000 round boxes of Winchester M22 (black box) for $50. each. I didn't count them, but they had many more on the shelf.

The black tip stuff shoots fine in Ruger 10/22’s with BX-10 magazines. (I put the BX-25’s away when there are a bunch of people shooting – they burn ammo too fast!)

When the wife and I were in Wyoming a few weeks back, I couldn't believe what .22 ammo was going for in that area. Almost $90 a brick.

Academy usually still has them behind the counter, but they have them. Limit 3 boxes of 50 $2.89-$2.99.
I try to keep a large stock only because when the kids want to shoot they want to shoot a lot.

Only a problem for people who don't plan ahead and then go into panic mode.......

I just keep doing what I have done for 40 years. Buy a box or two of ammo here and there - then when I find a good price, buy a little extra. No strain on the budget, and the supply grows slowly but steadily.

Hard thing to find are bullets for reloading, especially .25 rifle bullets. Been looking all over for .25 110gr Accubonds.

Yep, reloading stuff is still hit or miss. 30 cal 165gr Accubonds have been eluding me lately too.

Yesterday, I picked up a 1400 round bucket of Remington Golden Bullet .22's for $65 at Academy. They had several buckets but one per customer.

I'm betting the one in Fairfield. That guy always has ammo. I picked up some .308 there when no one else had any.

Yes. Our local farm supply store keeps 257 Roberts in stock - His cousin shoots a 257.

The 257 ammo I saw was in Groesbeck, at the feed store (S&S or S&H, I forget). They had about 3 or 4 boxes.
