Anybody have one? Any issues feeding from round 1 to round 100?
I think it was 100 round capacity, might be 120. At least half again as long as a 30-round banana, looks like after the first 7-8 rounds single stack at the top of the magazine it widens out to 3 or 4 rounds side by side. Saw a couple of these at a local gun shop. I don't know the manufacture. I do know they're stamped metal, not plastic/polymer, and look pretty much like what would be government issue, comparable to the 20- & 30-round magazines I used in another lifetime.
I think the price tag read $69.95.
9x19mm--Anything bigger is statistically insignificant.

You're talking about the Surefire. They have both a 60 round and a 100 round. This is the 100 round, 60 round is more the size of a 30 rounder, just fatter.

The reason the standard mag is 20 rounds is so you can aim your rifle from "hug the ground" while you're taking incoming fire that's trying to separate you from your head. These 100 round mags look like fun toys but that's all they are: toys. Anyway, enough grumpiness, I hope it really works and that you have fun with it.

It's considered a first contact mag - large capacity for suppressive fire from a lighter platform than a beltfed. After dropping the first mag you go back to the standard issue 30 rounds mags. I can see the usefulness in that roll alone or as a range toy to dump a lot of ammo. It's a niche piece but the Surefire mags do work

Just like an AR15 is a fun toy to have. Roughly 0% of civilian Americans use their rifle as a offensive weapon.

You're right, of course. It just feels like putting a 5-20x tactical scope on a 94 Winchester or a Tasco scope on a .338LM. That out of the way, there's nothing wrong with having a little fun, 5-20 tactical scopes on 94 Winchesters, Tasco scopes on .338LM rifles, Muddy Girl pink camo, etc. If it makes you happy and it's legal then go for it.

Midway lists the 100 rounders for $180. Have you looked at a drum magazine?

While the 60 and 100 round magazines fit the AR 15 they where developed for the M249 SAW. The belt fed system is clumsy in assault operations. The dual feed capability of the M249, allows rapid change over to belt fed, when a defensive position is assumed. As for the drum magazines, no one I knew that used them liked them, due to their tendency to jam. One former Marine told me that they threw everyone they had over the side of their assault ship due to lack of reliability.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

And I will buy the guy a steak dinner than can empty a 100 round mag in a sounder of hogs and kill em all!

I have run some of the cmmg 100 round dual drums, with great success. But they are heavy...
My first mag in each carry gun is the 60 round surefire, they are great... I'd rather have the ammo than the ability to lay low. I'll take firepower and cover versus flat anyday.

I have a 100 round drum I run with my bump stock. Yea it is heavy but it helps keep the barrel pointed where I want it. It has no practical purpose other than that application though. As for durability, I've dropped it a few times loaded up with no issues. I will say if you drop it on your foot while in sandals it hurts like hell. No feeding issues ever...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFPbHygQOjY
