I saw this video and thought about AR's. The buck is right at 13" inches wide on the inside.
Would have have shot him and hoped for the best or past on him because it looked to close to call..

I'd shoot it, if I didn't have a heart attack before I could squeeze the trigger. Either way I'd have to have a clothes change. Game wardens let this one go and give you a pat on the back. They pay attention to the spirit of the law. At least ours do. They've told us flat out.

I saw that last year. I would not hesitate to shoot that buck. The narrowest I have seen that score high was a 10" inside spread buck that grossed right under 200".

Crazy antlers, but something about those NP turn me off. A 20" wide 12 point in the 160's is what I dream of.

Antler restrictions aren't bullet proof. I wouldn't expect any trouble from the warden for shooting that monster.

Great buck! Terrible camera work - especially when they knew the deer and should have been ready.

You gotta remember that you are looking at about a 300 lb. deer and from ear tip to ear tip is more like 16". I almost passed on one in Mo. a few years back because I didn't think the rack was that big until I realized the deer was actually huge. It had a 21" spread when I thought it was about 17".
