I dont like giving secrets away, but this one I do need to share. I recently bought a chipper/shredder with the intentions of making my own quail feed. My son had the bright idea of trying to make a deer attractant/feed by grinding up a couple different products.(corn, golden nuggets)and then mixing in rice bran and cherry jello mix. The end result is very similar to a few products on the market but much less expensive. for about $30.00 dollars he can make 150 lbs of what he calls his secret sauce. I have seen the results first hand, I put out a couple of piles at one of my bow stands and watched as several nice bucks came in, they walked past the feeder which just went off and began to engulf the piles of secret sauce without suspicion or hesitation. He now charges me $25.00 for 25 lbs of his secret sauce, and I lost my chipper/shredder.

$1 a pound? I'll offer your son 17 cts/lb for his deer feed concoction. F.O.B. his location. That's over 50% profit for the young entrepreneur.

We have to take into concideration the child labor laws as well as minimum wage and health care cost, even know the over head appears to be low I feel that for cost effectiveness this product must be manufactored in China!

I was in training at the Police Academy and needed the sugar for energy,It had better flavor than a bowl of deer droppings but I know you need your ruffage as you are older than I.

I can barely afford Indian corn. Buck Crack is for the High Rollers.

All the attractants come back to rice bran, you can forget the other stuff and just dump rice bran out

Agree on the bran.

Of course, in a heavy acorn drop, nothing works.

Peanuts will work, if you can afford them.
