We get calls all the time people asking how the 22 creed does on big game, well here is the answer.
Antelope at 460, 510, and 650 yards Mule deer both over 350, one hog at 647 and one at 702 yards.

Whats the process for building a 22 Creedmoor if say hypothetically I wanted to build one off a Tikka action?

Is the brass tough to make?

But the A-max isn't a hunting bullet. grin

Way to knock em down. If I ever have 2 pennies to run together I'm gonna have you build me one.

Simple, We rebarrel it to 22 creed, then you step down 6mm creed in a single step down. you can do it with bushing dies from redding or were are a couple weeks out from having full length die sets done.

Not to hijack, but what is the difference between a 22 Creedmoor and a 22-250?

Bigger case capacity for heavier 22 cal bullets.

I thought 22 creedmoor was based on 308? 22-250 is based on 30-06 I think.

The parent case for 22-250 is the 250-3000 Savage. I just learned that a few months ago. I always thought it was the 308.

22-250 is the old savage round. Creedmoor is the 30tc but can be made out of 308 with a lot of work.

Close performance wise to the 22 creed would be 22-6mm/.224TTH

As a comparison. My .22-250 is a 1:8" twist, and shoots 75 gr A-maxes. But it is 3200 fps MV. So the 22 Creedmoor adds quite a bit of velocity. And I wouldn't be surpised if the Creedmoor has a lower ES due to better case geometry.

Yep and if you ask Dstroud he has found the special soup to have his 24 incher shoot the 75s at 3600 elmer

That does sound simple. Could you do this off a Tikka T3 .243 action?

Once you have those Full Length die sets done this might be my next set up!

Yep doing a 6.5 creed tika right now. Just talked with Whidden expecting dies here in a couple weeks.

Question:

What advantage does a .22creed or a .224tth with a 75 grain bullet at 3450 fps offer over a .257 wby with a 110 grain bullet at 3450 fps?

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Awesome shooting and sweet rifle!

Any chance you could post photos of a few cartridges together for comparison....like .223, 22 Creed, .243, 22-250?

Just curious what they look like next to each other.
