Thank you all so much for your support. Bob is definitely Hooked, and at 12 talking about being a Jr. Hunt Master when he turns 16.

My only problem with the Texas Youth Hunting Program is most of the hunts are so far away from us, and I just can't afford to travel that far. I would like to take the Hunt Master Course maybe next year and try to build the program here in the Panhandle.

It is almost unbelievable the amount of difference I see in his self confidence. Once again thank you and happy hunting to all. rifle

Thank You
Robert

Great job young man!

I have a kid with issues too, this inspires me to check out the program. Congrats to your son and great job guiding him along the way.

Great job Bob on a awesome speed goat. Wonderful, positive, story with a nice ending. What caliber and distance? Congratulations to Bob and Pops Robert on a successful hunt trip and some meat in the freezer. Don't forget the TPWD youth hunt drawings also. You can enter drawing till he is 17 yoa. Don't over look the Hunters Ed Requirement program also. Great to see the youth and family hunts activity. cheers up

Bob smoked the pronghorn last weekend, he shared meat with friends and family. We had back strap for Thanks Giveing dinner, and Pork / Pronghorn chilly on fry day (with him doing the cooking of course). Very tasty indeed.

We have reservations for a hog hunt New Year's Day, he just can't wait.

We owe a great big thank you to you folks for your advice and words of incouragement. His self confidence has soured since this hunt. happy3

I think I can speak for alot of the forum community, when I say this story warms my heart to see not only success in the field but strangers coming together for reasons other than their own self gratification. Congratulations to you and your son. This is what hunting, shooting sports and the great outdoors are all about. There is a lifting spirit in the vast unoccupied corners of the world. People just have to discover how to tap into it. Hats off to all the volunteers who make this and many more youths dreams come true.
