This is the first time I've built a duck blind and I went a bit overboard. The dimensions are 4.5' X 10' and it's made from 14ga 2x2, 1x1 and cattle panel. The entire blind is bolt together and comes completely apart for transport. I welded the nuts around the frame so the only loose hardware need for assembly are the bolts. Maybe we'll kill some birds out of it this season...

Misfire, looks great. Just one small suggestion is to put a rope or something to catch the doors right before they fully open. We did this to take some of the shock off the hinges and it really helped. Good luck!!!

I need something like that but a little smaller on skids so I can drag it around with a Ranger.

Nice job!

We initially added some straps to cushion the fall of the doors but they are heavy enough that they rebounded up in the air. If you look closely you will see some rubber padded bumpstops that the doors land on. So far they work great at catching the doors and reducing the shock. Also, since the doors have been grassed in with Fasgrass, they don't fall as hard. That will probably change once the mats get some wear on them.

Very nice job there, great steps you took to make it easy to break down and transport, no reason not to keep it for ever. up
