No season lease and most times if everything lines up just right I jump out for exotic hunt to take care of urge. Was looking forward to trip to family ranch at end of month but just not as excited to concept as I was, little things have made me loose interest. I have finances to do anything I want and lifestyle that affords it! Just hearing of issues where I was planning to go and friends and loved ones having issues with finances due to boom going bust I feel guilty bailing off and having a trip and spending the money I know would possibly help them. They know I am pretty well off and have a heart I try not to make known! Here I am well practiced with bow and just can't get motivated for trip in 2 weeks, may take field points and target and fishing gear and try to tweak out a road trip. At least wouldn't cost the out of state fee.

Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock!

Go hunting and don't feel guilty. A couple days here and there for your own piece of mind and relaxation will not keep your family members in their situation, or get them out of it. I'm speaking from experience I passed up on chances to go hunting and the next thing you knew the chances got fewer and fewer and with that so did the desire to go or put out the effort. It took years to get the "juices flowing" again as they say. Don't feel guilty for enjoying yourself by going hunting now and then. 2cents

Unless your gonna give the cash you got to those who want it, I say its not really even a thing. Do what you want with what you got?

I'll sometimes buy somebody a public lands permit to do some hunting if expenses are tight. More than once we've camped in a national forest and roughed it a couple days. No guarantee on getting anything but it's always a good time if the weather is right. I have my place but my brothers and dad get first shot every year before I bring in buddies unless there is something they don't mind getting taken off the land or if they don't plan on hunting.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Go squirrel hunt.

Better yet, go squirrel hunt and take a child out with you. I've found doing this every once in a while really gets me to feeling better and more motivated after teaching a child about hunting and being in the great outdoors. I can't wait 'till my granddaughter is old enough to get out and learn about the woods. I'm ready. woot

Sometimes it's the little, simple things that have the greatest impact. cheers

To the victor goes the spoils. Enjoy your success and help others as well. If your feeling too guilty about being successful, there is a man running for POTUS by the name of Bernie Sanders that is planning on taking your success and giving it to others if he is elected, so just vote for him and let your guilt be gone. As far as other types of drama...well, you said you had the finances to afford whatever, so that should never be an issue, go somewhere else. No way I deal with any drama that affects my hunting, fishing, vacation, etc...

How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Go hunting and feel great about it.

We are not promised tomorrow, so don't waste days and opportunities because today could be your last.

We all go through struggles in life. Many times out of our control, like whats happening with the oil patch now.

Speaking for myself, I'm better for it today and it makes me appreciate the good times more. I don't know that I would feel that way if someone was always there to help me or bail me out when having to deal with things not working out as planned or the way I wanted them to.
