Anyone ever shot it, or owned one? It is a fairly cheap, small, carry pistol...just wondering pros and cons. Decent for my wife as protection? Thanks

Fantastic pistole. Fixed barrel too. I own two Bersa Thunders. I also own several revolvers and pistols. For the money they can't be beat.

Agree with THETEXAN very good pistols. Have shot them and recommended them to people that now own them and love them.

A buddy of mine has one that I've shot quite a bit. Great little .380. His is a certain model, "DLX" I believe? Anyway, he has trouble finding magazines for his particular pistol. The standard .380 Bersa mags fit but won't lock in place or allow a round to chamber.
edited to add: I removed the "This is just what he told me," because I remember taking a brand new out of the package Bersa Thunder .380 magazine and it would not function in his particular pistol, but worked fine in his girlfriend's Bersa .380.

Buddy of mine bought 2, one for his girlfriend and one for himself. He loves them. Only problem was that we had to tweak the magazine spring on one gun to position the follower better to feed rounds into the chamber.

I carry a SS Thunder CC with a polished slide and custom grips. It's as purty as any, shoots every time, handles nasty ammo and puts em where I want em.
Great gun, and bottom line is, I wouldn't feel too bad about handing it to the peace officer investigating my shooting the bad guy.
It can be replaced by the spares in the safe.

I added the Crimson Trace Laser Grip to my little Bursa and love it for both looks and performance.

Got one for my mother and then she decided she wanted a revolver, so I kept it. Great bang for the buck. Since it is blowback operated the recoil is noticeably snappier than in a short recoil pistol of the same size and caliber.
Blowback handguns have a reputation for excellent accuracy though.

I think the bersa is made on the Walter PPK patent. I have owned both and still own the bersa. Both great guns.
