One of my client/friend is a first time archery this season. After bagging a couple deer last rifle season with us he came out and hammered his first archery deer which was also his first buck. At 20 yards the rage 2" hyperdermic Put Em Down as he flopped 5 yards from the feeder to rest.
Off to the cleaning deck for his first lesson in deer processing 101
A quick learner he is ready to clean the next one alone.
Back at 610am next morning with wind in favor and a lot of acorns falling and deer browsing some acorn rage powder did the trick and had several doe come into range at 15 yards on release the doe jumped his string and complete quartered away on arrow impact and hit mid body way back and rested against the back of the breast plate as she ran off green nocturnal nock glowing. After an hour of letting her lie and die we followed a great blood trail 100 yards to were she rested looked like shortly after the shot was taken. This doe was a whistle blower at all the stands good to have her gone not blowing and stomping. Lol Once again even with a not ideal shot impact angle rage Put Em Down and she was introduced to the yeti cooler... Another buddy lost a doe last week same shot angle due to jumped string at close range with a havoc broadhead. We trailed it Far off with no success she never stopped.
1 hour start to finish hang to cooler. A great job indeed.
He's definatly hooked on slinging arrows and with a full freezer with the other red meat he awaits the rut come the cooler weather.
