Neither, rem oil sucks and grease collects to much dirt. Use a high quality spray like G96, it'll save ya some hassle

I've been using Rem Oil for many years. It's good. It works. That's enough.

I'm glad that it works for you, I've seen it gum up way too many times turning a gun into a single shot to ever recommend it. I think if you can get a $5 can vs. a $2 oil and avoid problems knock it out

Which guns did you have Rem oil gumming issues, and which guns did fine with it?

Gunzilla best. Protective film lasts and believe it's some type of organic oil- not petroleum based.

Rem oil, cheap shells and a lot of shooting can gum up your gun. If you shoot really clean shooting shells or do not shoot a whole lot then you won't have the issues he's talking about.

I use CLP to clean and then a small amount of Beretta gun oil sprayed on the parts and then I wipe them down once.

I guess I have the "good" batch of the rem oil

I use Rem Oil, no problems. CLP always caused malfunctions for me. Even in the Army it would cause the M9s to cycle poorly. I started having my soldiers clean their pistols before the range and then Rem Oil them. The only malfunction we had was after one of my specialists got CLP'd by another platoon's NCO, the pistol failed to cycle. Everything else shot with no issues.

I bird hunt from September 1st to the end of February, when quail season ends. Probably do about two hunts a month. I shoot sporting clays and skeet all year. Registered and league. Every week. Been doing this for years. No problemas with the Rem Oil yet. I think it's like fishing line. Some guys like this one, others like that one. As long as it's a premium line you'll catch fish.
