Some of the old Remington bolts are real shooters, like the 521T and 541T. But if you want something that will really push the envelope, find an old Winchester 52 that has been drilled and tapped (a GOOD thing IMO, because I like SHOOTERS) or otherwise ruined for collector value. You might luck into such a deal for around $400, give or take a hundred. The 52s are simply unbeatable unless you want to spend $$$$$ on something like a high-end Anschutz or similar.
