Very nice herd you have there.
Well don't drive a truck up or check your cards til the weekend is over. Avoid the area other than sneaking into the stand.

I have hogs doing the same thing to me. Look and camera pic's. Hogs show up at 6:30 PM like clock work. Then I show up and nothing shows. I think my hogs hear me drive over the cattle guard. On my Axis I put out alfalfa three days before I come down to hunt. They hang around for alfalfa.

We are just north of you near Hext. We have hunted there for 12 years and the only axis we have ever seen was on the road dead. But we have got two free range black buck. Good luck getting to them.

Check cards just before leaving the ranch. Keep vehicle traffic to a minimum. Park a half mile out from where you plan to hunt and walk in the remaining way. Or get an electric powered buggy/golf cart. I've been seeing more axis than ever by doing this. I think the additional supplemental water stations helped tremendously as well.

I have had the best luck on the first day of hunting with axis. The less vehicle traffic the better.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Good luck. I used to hunt south of London about 6 or 7 miles and we saw one Axis in 10 years. Is your place high fence ?

Next time you go put out a whole dail of Alfalfa hay it's like candy to them. Make sure you spread it around.

They will get used to normal traffic on the ranch. Even to the point of recognizing vehicles. a strange pickup and they will go into hiding

One more point about Axis. They are not like WT deer, when they decide to hide they find the thickest stuff available and get right in the middle of it. About 3 years ago I was on my way home from work one evening late in the summer. I noticed a big velvet WT about 75 yards off the hwy so I decided to circle back for a look. There was a small thicket of cedar's and a few catus and mesquite on this flat but not much else. While I was watching the WT buck I caught a flicker of movement in the cedar's so I started glassing them very slowly. It took several minutes for me to finally make them out but there were at least 9 Axis deer laying in the thickest part of the small thicket and I promise you I sat there for at least 15 minutes and not one of them moved other than blinking and breathing. Smart animals and a challenge to hunt when they know your after them!!!! Baker

I got it pp. Park at Joey and Blake's and take bus to London ( they won't mind the weapons) then walk in. Wear your jordens so you can be in stealth mode. Stay focused. Stealth mode works for me it can work for you. If you need help just give me combo to gate and I will take care of it.
