I have some spots open for 2016 deer season. 500 acres in Montague county on the red river. 1/2 mile river frontage. 1 1/2-2 Hrs from DFW, 5 hunters max and 3 spots most likely already filled. PM offers. I can send more pictures if interested. Looking for good folks that would like to be part of a long term lease. Big 9 pt is from this year, 15 pt is from last.

PS any guess on what the 9pt will score? I say 150-155

Add a 500 behind that 2 and you'll be closer to his other offers

I ask for this info : "Could you please give me more info (like: price, is it year around, rifle\bow, or both, is it family friendly, or guest aloud, and what types of game are on the property, abs is there a place to stay on property)?"

The price was the only info I got. I don't know if he just doesn't want to answer my other questions or even going to be showing the property. Which I also asked about.

I'll bid One Million dollars! Seems a little silly to take bids, but to each his own.

Thought thought it was a little odd too. I asked him about it, but didn't get a response yet. confused2 I can see taking bids on a entire lease and the leasor taking the highest bid. But I have never heard of taking bids for individual lease spots. One member might pay 3000 and the next 500. Talk about a mad lease spot holder if they got to talking. Also, why would anyone bid on anything sight unseen?

The 160+ bucks do come around, but on rare occasions. We would include hogs and varmints at no extra charge as well as allow mature does to be taken. The ranch is 500 acres so I wouldn't want to do more than 2 maybe 3 people max. I would have both bow and rifle stands set up and feeders full at all times. We will also have a website to post trail cam photos and photos of animals taken. I think this would allow someone to have an affordable hunt with a good chance at a really nice buck. Thoughts? I love to hear opinions smile

After reading that last post. If that is what he is doing it makes more sense. He needs to clarify it.

He won't take anything less than the highest bid..unless time is running out..then he will set that price as the cost of the lease..I imagine

I was planning on doing some day hunts but have since decided just to lease for the season. Sorry I wasn't more clear in the beginning. I had an overwhelming amount of responses both here and locally when word got out we were going to lease. $2,500 per gun was the average offer, and I think that's a fair price for what we have. As of now it looks like we have all spots filled. I will post here if something opens back up and also post some better pictures/details ect.. Sorry again for any confusion.
