I need 4 or 5 of them for a project.
Anyone willing to send me some?
I cannot say it is for a charitable organization or anything, I am doing some low charge 30.06 ammo for my son.
Thanks.

it's a pretty fair squeeze either way for something using .308 bullets. did he say to run them through a lubrisizer or something ?

I would put your friend at the top of the list of "don't trust his advice".
I believe your friend meant to advise you to use the common .311 RB.
Be careful on powder, Unique at one time was fairly universal to power low charge loads. Now days some recommend Trail Boss.

in case you weren't already aware, there are .308 bullets available that are better suited to your purpose, and don't need any rigging to load. hornady and speer both have 100 gr. half jacketed "plinker" bullets that work well for what you have in mind, along with plenty of safe loading data.
