I've been fairly interested in this one, but don't know of anyone that has one. It's not a cup holster, but look pretty convenient. LINK

It'll sooner or later get you into trouble.
Stow the gun out of sight, where it cannot be seen by looking through the windows as the law calls for.
Kind regards, charlesb

Need one that secure to the driver seat right between your legs or off to the side.

Here's an example of what I use. It's just a stout magnet. Holds a loaded fullsize 1911 with no issues even down bumpy farm roads at high speeds.

Just a question, after the first of the year with open carry allowed (if you have a chl) would the cup holder be legal?

I don't see why it wouldn't be. What is the difference in a cup holder vs it being in a shoulder holster?

surely we can't be the first to question this, if so why could you not ride around with a rifle in your back window like we did as youngsters?

I don't see why it wouldn't be. What is the difference in a cup holder vs it being in a shoulder holster? There was a legal difference in some states. Concealed carry meant on your person, and not your vehicle.

Just a question, after the first of the year with open carry allowed (if you have a chl) would the cup holder be legal? No, it would not be. The law does not allow for it. When carrying under the license, you can carry on your body openly, as long as the gun is in a shoulder or belt holster. This cup holster does not fit that description, as it is neither style holster, nor is it on your body. Handguns in a vehicle will still be required to be concealed.

I would be legal if it had a lid to cover the grip! Must be concealed if it's a handgun!....Throw a hand towel over it and you are good to go!

I think it's a stupid idea because there's no point and it could cause you trouble. Wanna have it close to you in the truck? Put it in your waistband or between the seat and console or on the side of the console or in the door pocket or between your legs or.....
Don't buy this contraption. Instead, duct tape your gun to the roof on the outside. It'll be just as accessible and just as invisible.
Pass the gravy.

I'd forget it one time, and it would be at the wrong time.

Check out my contraption I made for myself and started selling...it wraps around the seat and holds gun securely between your legs. Then when you get out of the car you can push gun down under the seat...my favorite invention. Thegungirdle.com. Is my website... It's called the seat holster wrap...I also have a visor wrap that doubles as a calf holster outside the boot holster...
