All I hear is good things. Anyone have anything negative to say about them? Just curious thinking about buying some.

Was recommended them by a budy, he had nothing bad to say. My dad is shooting them for his first season bow hunting this year, we will see if he connects. When I run out of what I have I will be switching to them.

2 negatives I have heard on them is less blood trail than other heads which is easy to figure out why when you look at cuts made by them and say slick tricks. The Montec cuts on entry and does not stretch the skin as much as other heads so the cut is pretty much the size of the head while ones with a non cutting point stretch the skin more and that stretched skin gets more skin on the blades causing a little bigger hole than the width of the broadhead.

Some claim the holes in the blades drag on flesh causing the montec to penetrate less but not sure this is really relevant for deer since most shot with then get passthroughs.

I shoot them a lot, not all the time but a lot. I have nothing but great things to say. I shot a buck in KS last year and the blood trail was darn good. Buddy shot one there too and there was a blood trail Ray Charles could see. Best blood trail that Ive seen to date.

I like mine. Blood trails can be sparse on high shots but I find the animals dead so . . .

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

I shoot the G5 and it has done me well. The only thing about their " blood trail" I would say is shot placement.
I took my first deer with the G5 and it only went about 30 yards from where I connected. Hit in slightly behind the boiler room and had a decent ( at best ) trail

I will say that I shot a doe and buck this past wknd with the new Havocs by G5. Doe piled up at 40yds and buck was DRT. Im not a huge mechanical fan but my wife bought them for me for my bday and I was impressed. I will say that they are the sharpest BH that I have ever messed with. They seem to fly true. I never even looked at the blood trail on the doe because I watched her fall. Kinda regret not looking at it now. Where the buck layed, there was blood everywhere. I mean everywhere.

I prefer the havocs. They fly more true than the g5 montec.... (never had one get away with a havoc yet... count is well over 10 with them)

I've had half good kills with the fixed and all good ones with the expandable two blades... (although could definitely of been user error wink )

The Montecs are tough. Sitting in a lean-to 15 foot up I shot this 80ish pound pig through the spine. The arrow entered dead center top of the back, went through the spine, and stuck into the dirt/rock soil. The arrow snapped about 10 inches from the broad head as the pig dropped and kicked around for a few minutes.

Pulled the broad head from the ground and put an edge back on it at camp up
