I am new to the area and am trying to get any information at all about what game to expect in or near Nocona. I have seen deer, but has anyone stumbled across any turkey??
Thanks to all

Kind of spotty. We have some south of Nocona and I used to be on a lease east of Montague that was covered up with Turkey. So they are in the area. Good luck.

Yes. They are on the increase in the area. I had a flock of turkey come through this last weekend. During spring I shot a nice Tom. In prior years it was pretty spotty. I'm just east of Nocona Lake and just north of Nocona Hills.

Great to hear, and thank you for the replies. I will be just South of the main body of the lake and West of Nocona Hills (Jones Hollow area). I am excited to see what comes that way.

We have quite a few turkey but last fall I didn't see any in the stand which is fine with me. Come spring they are everywhere though. I saw a nice flock last week but with the browse so high they are hard to see.
