This young man took this Fallow buck this weekend. Congrats to Bryan Jr...... One shot and the freezer was full. He is very unusual....You would think his Palms were damaged but there's another one just like him. Genetic? What do you think?  Diane

I would think more so an injury. Hard to tell unless you saw them both last year.

There are two bucks with the same problem... Can it be a coincidence that they both got damaged the say way/same time? Theses are on a new ranch so we don't know what they looked like last year.

Looks like damage to me, just bad coincidence that you have two like it. I'd say leave the other and see how he turns out next year.
I prefer meat in it's original packaging.
