I got there early enough to sit in my stand Friday afternoon. While sitting there I added cover to my windows and finished the only window that wasnt complete. While sitting there I had deer at both feeders and even had a few Turkeys come by. I got up Saturday morning and got to the stand a little late and scared off a few deer. Once it settled down the deer came back in. I saw 8-10 deer with four of them bucks although none of them was a shooter. I also had 4 gobblers and 8 hens. I saw a sow and piglets but only at a distance and didn't have time to try and shoot them. After things settled down I finished up the roof, added a few more supports to the stand in order to shore it up. I finished up the day by clearing a little brush to allow me to see a little better.

I do have one question. I forgot to mention I saw three HUGE coons. It was just before daylight. They were in the pen along with two deer and all of them were relatively close to each other. As bad as I wanted to shoot them I was hesitant because of the wire pen. I was concerned with the bullet ricocheting off a wire and hitting one of the deer. What are your thoughts? Is this something worth considering next time? Or just go ahead and not worry about it and give the suckers a dirt nap?

Here are few pics from the game cam.

Always nice to get out there!! IMO if there is any doubt I wouldn't do it. Anything is possible with shooting through pens.

Nice pics and bucks. Get you some dog proof traps to take care of the coons.

Nice looking set up. X2 on setting some dukes traps on Friday afternoon. If they a regulars that are hitting you everyday you will catch them by Sunday. Sardines and peanut butter always worked best for me. Sardines smell and the peanut butter keeps the ants from getting everything.

I wouldn't be doing any shooting now. I get 2 coons everytime I set my 2 Dukes with either sardines or chicken liver. BTW, nice pics.

Nice pictures up

As far as shooting a coon under the feeder with deer around... No way.
Not worth it to me.
