Had a good opener. Didn't connect with a deer, but got this little feller. I have been wondering if a head shot would drop a pig in its tracks. The results where not as expected, but I got lucky and it worked. I do not think I will try it again. From now on I will just go for heart/lung shots. The slick trick did make a complete pass through the skull. I'll be back for the deer Monday. Good luck and God bless.

I too had no deer hit the ground but had a blast. Brought the daughter into the tree with me for the first time. Got snorted at in the dark for 30 mins but to see the smile on her face was well worth educating a few.....by the way sweet shot and nice pig brother!

Yup, it's great. Nothing better than being in the stand.

And yes it's in the cooler to chill out. Great eater. Love the hunt. It's great to have the opportunity to hunt anything, I'm not to particular with the gifts God grants me. Maybe it will be a deer next time.

Great stuff! Go for the inner ear hey it's just a pig that should do the trick.

I was trying to go for the inner ear he turned his head in right as I released and ended up a little over an inch off. Small target leaves very little wiggle room. He was a little over 20 yards away.

It's nice to draw blood like that even when the deer don't cooperate.

I did connect with my first bow deer today. Got a doe right at the last minute. What a rush and a heck of a trophy.
