Still incredibly hard, but I could shoot enough 9mm bullets at that target and eventually I'd hit it.

Let's not over look the fact that he's a pro with very high end shooting skills. AND he probably shot at the target several times with multiple adjustments before shooting. He didn't just wake up that morning and pull this off. Not to take anything away from him and it's seemingly a very difficult shot.

I told this story on here before but I've hit about a 4'x4' board with my Glock 19 at around 225yds, probably about 3-4 out of 5 shots. Once we got a little dialed in that morning, it was a ton of fun. And we're definitely not pros nor did it take us many shots to get dialed in.

Thats the long and short of it. Jerry shoots more in a day than most of us shoot in a year. Once you get in that much quality practice, shooting is more instinctual than mechanical. When I use to shoot my recurve bow all the time, I could make very long shots without even aiming. Probably couldn't hit the ocean from the beach now though. Haven't shot a bow in a few years. My buddies use to get annoyed when they were fiddling with their expensive bow sights and releases. However, it was humbling to hunt with a recurve, because mine simply didn't have the power to hunt at those extended ranges. I swapped it over to a very nice bowfishing rig. Now that is a fun and challenging short range sport.

We use to hunt prairie dogs in South Dakota with rimfires at long ranges. Very fun to watch where the bullet hit the dirt and compensate. Out there on the open range with nothing for sound to bounce off of, the report of rimfire rifles didn't scare the prairie dogs.

2649 in of drop and 253 in in windage at 10mph using a bc of .165 and 1100fps. An impossible shot for us mere mortals.

I'm not sure I could even see the target at 1,000 yards without a scope. Regardless of level of practice/training, that is an incredible shot.

Not taking anything away from the shot, it's incredible to even hit the plate, but he didn't hit the balloon. The bullet splatter popped the balloon. He hit low and left.

He said in the video and in the youtube comments he didn't hit the balloon.
